Typical Itinerary - Three Night Grape Escape
Day One
Transfer from the airport (Murcia or Alicante) to your 4* or above hotel in Murcia City.
After check-in you have the afternoon free to explore this magnificent city by yourself or optionally follow our audio guided tapas tour. Visit the imposing cathedral, the vibrant Verónicas market or eat alfresco at one of the many excellent tapas bars in the busy plazas. Local specialties include Marinera Murciana, a tapa consisting of Russian Salad served on a breadstick topped with an anchovy, and the famous Pastel de Carne or Murcian Meat Pie.
Day Two
After breakfast we pick you up at your hotel and head to Jumilla for your first vineyard and winery visit. We take the scenic route through the stunning Valle de Ricotte which offers plenty of photo opportunities - don't forget your camera!.
The winery we visit is a traditional, 4th generation, family run winery. Your visit includes a tour of the vineyards and the winery facilities and wine tasting. Lunch, a traditional and typical cuisine of Jumilla, is then served in the lovingly restored family home.
There is also an opportunity to purchase wines and olive oils from the shop before heading back to your hotel.
Day Three
After breakfast we pick you up at your hotel and head to Jumilla for your first vineyard and winery visit. We take the scenic route through
